Travel to Mexico and celebrate with us!

Celebrate our marriage and explore Mexico for one week as we visit the beautiful magic towns of Amealco De Bonfil, Querétaro Centro Histórico, and Peña de Bernal, all located in the state of Querétaro, Mexico!

Why Querétaro ?

Upon traveling to Querétaro as a couple for the first time many years ago, Querétaro opened our eyes to a slower-paced, culture rich, and intuitive way of life. Having traveled up to twice per year to the state since our first experience, and being the state where we got engaged, we found it naturally fitting to want to share our new experiences with our closest friends and family.

Why One Week?

Querétaro offers a lot to see, do, eat and drink.

One day, or even one weekend doesn’t do it justice.

We would love for you to attend our wedding, visit our favorite landmarks, cafes, restaurants, bars, hiking trails, museums and more! We made our best efforts to simplify travel arrangements.

We become what we love and who we love shapes what we become.

Travel Information

We know this is a big ask. Traveling outside of the country can be challenging, confusing, and expensive. We tried to simplify the traveling and accommodation confusion in the following sections.

When do I leave to Querétaro?

You would depart O'Hare airport on Thursday June 4th at 7:09am, Volaris flight number Y4 7891, with destination to Querétaro Airport(QRO). We will provide a shuttle from QRO airport to the hotel.

When do I return to Chicago?

You would depart QRO airport on Thursday June 11th at 12:39am, Volaris flight number Y4 7890, with destination to O'Hare Airport. We will provide a shuttle from the hotel to QRO airport Wednesday June 10th, shuttle leaves to the airport at 8pm.

I can't go a full week, can I just go for the weekend?

We understand not everyone can take a full week off work, especially with other events going on. There is an alternative for people that can only stay the weekend. Querétaro Airport does not offer a viable return flight option other than Thursday. The best alternative would be keeping the same arrival flight and changing the return flight to Monday June 8th, departing from Mexico City Airport (AICM) at 6:45pm, Volaris Flight number Y4 702 with destination to O'Hare. This route involves a combined total of up to 12-14 hours of travel, which consists of 5hrs of bus travel + 3hrs of waiting at lobbies/check-in + 4hrs of the actual flight. Check the itinerary for directions if this is your only option.

Where do I stay?

You would stay in Hotel Casa Santa María located across the street from Parroquia Santa María which is where the ceremony will take place. You can book a room by calling +52(720)471-8733. Make sure to include +52 or your call will not reach Mexico! The most affordable option is the Standard room which has two full/double beds and can accommodate up to 4 guests. It is recommended that guests coordinate who they will be staying with to make the cost more manageable. Rates and room options current as of 11/5/2025. Double check pricing when booking. Rates listed are for CASH IN PESOS. Hotel takes cards but charges an extra fee depending on the room you choose.

How many Pesos do I take?

We encourage each guest to bring enough cash to cover hotel, food, and shopping cost, as well as a little extra just incase. There's a USD to Pesos currency exchange booth within a 5 minute walk from the hotel as well as an ATM. Expect each meal with drinks and dessert to cost $5-$12USD ($90-$220 MEX). Hotel cost depends on the type of room you choose, refer to room rates in the "Where do I stay?" section. Hotel can be paid with card, however there is a processing fee, the amount depends on which room you choose.

What should I pack?

PACK ACCORDINGLY! Querétaro is known for mixed weather, especially in June. Some rain and cold weather is to be expected at least one day of your stay. A typical day consists of skin burning hot sun during the afternoon, with chilly mornings and evenings. We will hike Peña de Bernal which can be dangerous with low grip shoes! If you choose to pack light, there's a laundry business located a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. They will wash, dry, and fold your laundry for about $3USD ($54MEX) per pound of laundry.

Will You Attend?

Please RSVP by March 1st 2026 following the directions on your invitation. Thank you for taking the time to consider going to our wedding, we can't wait to celebrate with you!
